4 Year Check Sheet

The Sculpture concentration is intended to bring students in touch with traditional and contemporary trends in the discipline. It supports the notion that students will eventually be able to define the nature of their own studio research within a contemporary arena, and be able to defend that work conceptually as well as formally. The curriculum is designed to provide the major with an introduction to traditional methods and processes, primarily in the areas of wood, and metals. Students are introduced to contemporary practice in sculpture including perfoemance, installation, and social engagement.
